Kingston Choral Society: Christmas Concert
The Holy Birth, a carol sequence for organ and choir, was commissioned by Gloucester Cathedral Choral Society in 1985. This joyous seasonal celebration is infused with the ‘natural grace’ that characterises the choral works of Herbert Sumsion, a contemporary and friend of Elgar and Vaughan Williams. In addition to this delightful piece, there will also be our traditional festive offering of favourite choir and audience carols, interval drinks and mince pies!
